Connecting Engage and the SAT

Learning Focus: Teachers will be able to align the SAT and the Engage NY curriculum; additionally, they will be able to identify resources to help plan for student misconceptions and learning gaps in instruction

Supporting High School Students’ Learning of Academic Vocabulary: Teaching Words in Context

Learning Focus:  Teachers will be able to understand the word knowledge demands of Engage texts and assess instructional supports to address them; identify gaps and potential solutions to support students’ vocabulary learning

The Planning Process

Learning Focus:  Teachers will be able to understand the lesson planning process with Engage materials and apply lesson annotation strategies in order to prepare for and realize lesson goals.
